Rippy at Sound Signal specializes in recording well, most any kind of guitar driven band. Most of these estimated are given with that in mind. If you have a unique or radically different setup, pricing and estimates may differ.

Rates are à la carte or as needed with options for almost any budget.
Discounts available for keeping it in house and doing a package deal. Example, I can discount mixing if you do all the recording with me, etc.  Additional needs and time beyond the package price will result in additional costs.

Rates beginning July 1, 2026:

• Full Day:  $500 (8 hours of tracking)

• Half Day: $300 (4 hours)

• Mixing:  starting at $350 for a singles up to 5 minutes, multi-song mix packages are cheaper

• Mastering: starting at $150

• Demo Deal: $750 - 8 hour full day of tracking /live recording, basic mix & master included, just like how the man Don Fury used to do it. New bands or projects only please!

• Music Video & Live Performance video: starting at $1000

• Pre-Production: $400 (8 hours) Using a live tracking setup with Roland V-Kit in control room we focus on the songs. With me producing demos I help with the writing, arrangement, and tonal exploration of a project before you do the real thing with myself or another producer.

• LIVE show recording: pricing available upon request

• Remote recording: Yes, I will travel to you! pricing available upon request

Note:  8 hours may seem like alot, but it goes QUICK!
ESTIMATED TIMES: Full-Length studio records generally take 1-3 weeks to record. EPs can be done in around 3-7 days and singles 1-2 days.
Half days are for overdubs, vocals, and quicker things. Half days are not recommended for drums, live records or full band demo sessions. Demo Deals are not for label projects or established bands.
Any overtime (going beyond 8 hrs in the day) is subject to availability and schedule and not guaranteed.  

• Mixing- includes 3 versions, the 1st and 2 additional revisions. If alternate mixes, such as stems, vocal up, instrumentals, etc, are required, please state that at the time of booking so that time can be booked and accounted for that purpose.

• Booking- Please reach out for available calendar dates. I am generally booking anywhere 1-4 months out for recording and 1-4 weeks for mixing.

• Deposit-  A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm all projects and dates. The deposits apply towards the overall cost of the day/project.
  $100 per day is required for recording and 50% for mixing/mastering
  You can cancel or change the dates without penalty within 48 hours of initial scheduling or over 45 days in advance. You can also move the recording up (sooner) in time, without penalty if there is availability. It is important to note that deposits are connected to the specific dates chosen, not projects themselves – postponing or cancelling after the initial 48 hour period days means you will most likely lose your deposit.

• NOTHING IS CONFIRMED UNTIL DEPOSIT IS PAID AND CONFIRMATION EMAIL IS SENT.

• Archival of recordings or files given is also the responsibility of the client, not me.

• Musical equipment like instruments, amps, pedals, and drums at Sound Signal are available to clients at no additional cost.

• Purchasing of supplies such as hard drives, drum heads/sticks, guitar strings/picks, etc. is the client’s responsibility.
